This was my first "ground up" job.
And what a job! I really wish I had the digi-cam when i first got this to have pics, as it literally arrived in a plastic sandwich bag! At some distant time it had been completely taken apart and left lay somewhere wet.
The stock was rather severely split, bolt rusted in place and all the assorted small parts were in a bag looking a bit like feed pellets...no part was really identifiable under the shell of rust!
1942 Carcano
It still bears some pitting from the rust, and is not a "restored" gun.  But for the condition it was in originally, more like a fairly well kept war souvenire.
This Italian carcano is dated 1942, and with the exception of two screws I had to make, is all original and shoots very well!
