About custom orders

I sometimes get strange looks when people hear me say "every order is a custom order". It doesn't matter if it is a simple set of smooth grips for your 1911, or a complete stock carved from butt plate to for-tip, it is an order to make a PERSONAL STATEMENT of who you are. That is what makes it "custom". On the pattern page listed at left are a few of the commonly asked for styles. There is also a page of ready made grips which are also hand made the same way as when you write for a set to your specification, with the only difference being that made to order items are inscribed with "Made for____" on their backs. Other designs are limited to the imagination and depth of purse. Over the years of carving even before turning my work to gunstocks, I have done inlay of exotic woods, metal and wire designs. As I do some of these once more, I will add examples to these pages. It may be a while as with the time involved, orders are infrequent.
