Can we make this clunker into the central display for the local gunshop?

Those are 30 inch damascus tubes on that puppy!
Un-fortunately, about the only thing that works is the lock that barely functions enough to get it seperated...
There used to be checkering...
Just as I am sure at one time there was SOME kind of finish on this reciever...
After we get through the crud, I may find a makers mark and get an idea of the original finish.
Otherwise it will be up to him how he wants it to look.
You need to look close in bright light to even see that this IS a damascus barrel under all the rust and crud.
Will also have to find some hardware to make a splinter...
And decide if this stock can be repaired and saved.
Notice the split at the back of the tang, as well as missing pieces at the box corners.
My mentor was impressed with the outcome of my slow rust blue and damascus blue, so he dug this from the parts bin and told me to make it nice again so he can place it in the office as a display...
It will take quite a while between the condition it is in, and the fact it is a "whenever" job that will only see time between paying customers...
