"A set of grips for a Unique Pistol?" I thought it was possibly a joke like catching a "unique" rabbit, turns out it was just another brand I had not heard of. A French made pistol in 9mm whose grips had become like broken potato chips from the Texas heat! |
So the work began! Piecing together the fragments, measuring and sure enough a pair of grips began to materialize. Un-fortunately, what I did not think of and neither did the owner, was that they had shrunk inward as well. The first set was just about 1/8 Inch too small all around. So a tracing of the frame along with actual size scans of the frame and I started again, this time with true measurements. The results are below, and the owners comments can be found on the "Customer Gallery" page. |
